“Get busy living, or get busy dying.” Stephen King
That is a fantastic quote that pretty much sums up taking positive action in life. There’s one thing I know for sure, and it’s that we have all been influenced at some point in our lives by substances, whether it be through peer pressure or conditioned to them from childhood. Substance abuse has been a common theme in both sides of my family and has even taken the life of a family member.
I’ve not only seen family members of mine struggle with substance abuse, but many close friends battle addiction as well. Not only does it affect the ones using, but the ones who love and truly care for them. And while I may not have been able to help everyone I’ve ever known with their addiction(s), I have uplifted and inspired many to put addiction behind them.
Life is truly a beautiful thing; a real gift from a higher power in the universe. So much to see, people to meet, dreams to live, knowledge to be gained, and most importantly, love to be shared. Supporting everyone and loving all things is truly all that matters at the end of the day. Of all things I’ve experienced in my life, good and bad, I’ve learned that there is so much abundance here on Earth- and so many great things to prosper from; even the little things like personal gratification for helping someone change their flat tire on the side of the road.
Anyone who is out there struggling with addiction of any kind, please be aware that there are people out there who care, love and truly support you. The universe itself is here to give you all that you could ever need. I, myself, am here to help you and anyone else who needs it. Usage of substances of any kind is only going to take life, not bring it. Awareness of the positivity and greatness in this world is the key to any life of abundance. Do not be afraid to ask for help from anyone, as there is so much out there waiting for you.
I fully support any cause that raises awareness, and I will continue performing at many benefits for those in need. A big thank you goes out to Michael Strider for including me on this, as I am more than happy to be a positive influence on others!
